Mohamed Makawi, President/CEO
Mr. Makawi is an IHOP Franchise Owner and Developer who is sales driven with over 20 years of business ownership. He is actively involved in every aspect of his businesses from Operations to Sales and Marketing. Committed, energized, determined and experienced describes Makawi’s approach to customer service, strategic initiatives, employee mentoring and coaching. He is passionate about the success of all individuals that work in his organization. Mr. Makawi understands that the customer is the single most valuable asset an organization can have, and he is dedicated to the unrelenting pursuit of customer-driven focus.

Ron Matin, Vice-President of Operations

Ron is a Executive VP of Operations with a long history of working in the food & beverage industry. He is a graduate of The University of Texas, Austin. Working with the IHOP brand since 1996, Ron is very familiar with the operation of IHOP franchise restaurants. He is also owner of four Popeye’s Fried Chicken franchises in the Chicago, IL, area. He was a Managing Partner with the Parikh Network of Restaurants prior to coming to Eagles Landing Restaurants to oversee the restaurant operations and District Managers.

Jimmy Free, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Free is a longtime Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and oversees all operations budgets and financial reporting. Administrative staff includes Nancy Bennett, Office and Payroll, and Wendi Schulman, Accounting Specialist. Free oversees the operations and payroll services totaling more than 1,000 employees.

Tonyell Somerville, Sr. Director of Training and Development
Tonyell (Tony to us) has been with IHOP for over 20 years. She started her IHOP career in the Memphis, Tennessee, market and worked on the IHOP corporate training team. Tony has over 15 years as an IHOP leader. Ms. Somerville currently oversees all current IHOP Certified Training locations. In addition, she ensures our teams maintain sufficient trainers in each location. She is responsible for the development, staffing and training of new restaurant Opening Teams.

Hap Willard, Sr. Director of Marketing
Hap Willard is an advertising and marketing veteran. He has headed several advertising and public relations firms during his career, working with clients such as Marriott Hotels, Stihl Chainsaws, McDonald’s and many regional clients, including St. Vincent Hospital, The NC Museum of Art, The Bank of Santa Fe and The Santa Fe New Mexican Newspaper. He has considerable experience in the food and beverage industry. His creative work has won over 100 Advertising Awards. He is an accomplished graphic artist and is proficient at web design and internet marketing.
