Mohamed Makawi, President/CEO
Mr. Makawi is an IHOP Franchise Owner and Developer who is sales driven with over 20 years of business ownership. He is actively involved in every aspect of his businesses from Operations to Sales and Marketing. Committed, energized, determined and experienced describes Makawi’s approach to customer service, strategic initiatives, employee mentoring and coaching. He is passionate about the success of all individuals that work in his organization. Mr. Makawi understands that the customer is the single most valuable asset an organization can have, and he is dedicated to the unrelenting pursuit of customer-driven focus.

Jimmy Free, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Free is a longtime Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and oversees all operations budgets and financial reporting. Administrative staff includes Nancy Bennett, Office and Payroll, and Wendi Schulman, Accounting Specialist. Free oversees the operations and payroll services totaling more than 1,000 employees.

Tonyell Somerville, Sr. Director of Training and Development
Tonyell (Tony to us) has been with IHOP for over 20 years. She started her IHOP career in the Memphis, Tennessee, market and worked on the IHOP corporate training team. Tony has over 15 years as an IHOP leader. Ms. Somerville currently oversees all current IHOP Certified Training locations. In addition, she ensures our teams maintain sufficient trainers in each location. She is responsible for the development, staffing and training of new restaurant Opening Teams.
